Newark

Newark is a medium sized town north east of Nottingham, near the Lincolnshire border.

It has a nice olde worlde centre and has quite a lot of Civil War history, having been occupied by Royalists and gone through several sieges.

If you look at the close up of the church tower, you can see a hole right through, which is supposed to have been caused by a cannon ball.
